Half price books

I have been receiving some free magazine subs & I usually browse through the magazines, cut out any coupons in them, and then I put them a pile. Well, my pile was starting to add up so I decided to take a trip to Half price books. I turned in several magazines (more than 10) and a couple old kids books that my kiddos didn't want anymore. I was hoping to receive some extra money from them. Well, long story short, they only gave me $1.40. When I left the store, at first I was a little upset, but then I started thinking. These were mostly free magazines that I got, and otherwise they would have gone in the recycle bin. So it's still $1.40 and in my family, literally every penny counts! So the moral of the story is, even if you don't get a lot from doing these things, it all still counts! So then I went to Walmart to see what I could buy for $1.40.
