Last Minute Halloween Costume Idea

Here is a picture of my younger sister, Lisa in her m&m costume that we just made! If you still haven't decided on a costume, this one was inexpensive & very easy to make! You could make this costume for an adult, or a child. Here's how to make it:
Step 1: You will need to purchase 2 or 3 yards of felt from your fabric store. You can pick whichever m&m color that you'd like. We bought 2 yards from Walmart for under $10.
Step 2: Cut (2) large circles out of the felt. If you can't make a perfect circle, you could make it an oval & be a "peanut" m&m.
Step 3: We used safety pins and pined the two circles together marking where the head & arms go. You'll need to leave at least 10 to 12 inches for the head to go in, two openings for the arms, and leave the bottom open for the legs. After it was pined, she tried it on to make sure it was right.
Step 4: Sew together the seams. If you don't have a sewing machine, you could use clear drying fabric glue, or a hot glue gun to glue them together, however if you sew it, it will hold up & last longer. After sewing, flip it inside out, so that the seams are on the inside.
Step 5: Cut a large "M" out of white felt. (1 sheet 20 cents at Walmart) Glue the M onto the front of the circle with a hot glue gun, or any clear drying fabric glue. If you want to, you could also add a face.
Step 6: Complete the costume with white sweat pants, or leggings, a white shirt or turtleneck, and white gloves.

That's it! Now you have an easy & inexpensive costume & it didn't take us very long at all to make it!
