Weekly and Monthly Savings Summary

Not anything too exciting this week. Just the Basics. Here's my shopping summary for this week, and at the bottom of this post you'll see my Monthly and Year To date Summary!

Kroger Trip (2 transactions pictured together. Other Transaction-no picture)
#1 Spent: $3.78 (For Dog food & Newspapers.) Amt. Saved: $0
#2 Spent: $9.83 Saved: $20.70
#3 Spent: $.30 Saved: $7.55
Total spent: $13.91 Saved: $28.25
Notes: Bread and Buns were on Managers Special. Honey Nut Cheerios were $.67 after coupon, Pillsbury Catalina deal, Buy 5, get a $3 catalina. Mini Oreo cakesters free after coupon from Kraft First Taste. These are sooo good!

Meijer: Spent $21.37. Saved: $33.36.
Notes: 100 Calorie Little Debbie snacks on sale for $1.34. Used $.55 coupon from All You magazine, doubled, so those were only 34 cents, and they are yummy!

CVS:
#1 Spent: $1.13 Saved: $17.76
#2 Spent: $4.44 Saved: $7.00
Total spent: $5.57 Saved: $24.76

Walgreens:
Spent: $1.40. Saved: $18.88 But I will get back a $1 rebate for the Glade spray!

Grand Total Spent this week: $46.89
Grand Total Saved this week: $105.83

It's the end of the month, so here's how I did this month...
Total Amt. spent for the month of Feb. 2009: $321.75
Total Amt. saved in Feb. 2009: $649.00

Year To Date Savings:
Amount Spent: $557.55. Amount Saved: $1,110.00.

Please Note:
I have a $400 Monthly budget, or $100 a week, that we try to keep. So far this year I've done well. So If I go over budget one month, I won't kick myself in the butt.
These amounts shown above are for my family of 5 (six on the weekends). We also have 1 puppy. This is for all groceries, Health care items, ink refills, newspapers-coupons, paper products, ect. If I can save this much, so can you! Please follow my blog & watch your savings amounts go up!

    We have (5) in our family + (2) BIG dogs -- my goal is $400/month as well. I have a separate category for dog food but I still do very well on that with coupons (since P&G owns Iams).
