Kids Summer Reading Programs!

There are several Free Summer Reading programs available to help your kids to keep motivated & reading through the summer months! My kids were involved in these programs last year & loved it so we look forward to doing it again!

*Half Priced Books- Their summer reading program is called Feed Your Brain. Kids 12 and younger who read for 15 minutes a day can earn a Free $3 gift card per week from June 1- July 31st. So your child can earn up to (9) $3 gift cards! The Best part is that you can find very inexpensive books at Half Priced Books. Make sure to check the clearance racks too! Last year my kids ended up with lots of Free Books! *Also, while your there why not trade in your old/used books or magazines to earn a little cash! I always turn in my Free Magazines that I get in the mail & make a few dollars from them! Go Here for more info!

*Barnes & Nobles- Kids in grades 1-6 can earn a Free Book after they read 8 books! Go Here for more info!

*Borders- Kids earn 50% off selected books when they read 8 books. Details Here.

For Local Cincinnati Readers:

*Montgomery Cyclery's Bikes for Books- A very special summer reading program for students in grades K thru 8. Kids can win bicycles, locks, helmets and other cycling accessories while enjoying their favorite books this summer. Go Here for details! Thanks New Frugal Mom.

* Also check your local Library for Summer reading programs!
The Public library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County has a reading program called Creature Feature. Kids can earn prizes when they read books, and they have several Freebie events going on all summer long. Make sure to check with your Local library!
