Frugal Summer Fun - The Foamerator!

My kids had a blast making these cool foam snakes by blowing air through a simple homemade device using items from around the house! They had so much fun that this kept them busy for hours!

To make one, all you need to do is cut the bottom off a plastic water bottle using scissors. Then cover the open end with a circular piece of towel that's a few inches wider than the bottle. Secure the towel with a rubber band. Dampen the towel end with a little water, then dip into a shallow dish with dish soap!

Blow gently through the mouth of the bottle to create snakes of tiny bubbles!

Then just sit back and watch your kids makes tons of wacky foam snakes, laughing, and giggling for hours!

(*I got this idea from the Aug. 2009 issue of Family Fun magazine. )
