2009 Savings Summary! Please Check this out!

I am not posting this to Boast! I am simply sharing this with all of you, just to let you know that you really can save a lot of money by using coupons & matching them to weekly sales. Trust me, if I can do this (I am not the smartest-especially not in math-just ask my 5th Grade Son!LOL!) than you can do it too! It does not take a Rocket Scientist to use coupons & Save Money!

Why not make a Resolution for 2010 to learn how to use coupons & save money? Stick around at Tips From A Mom of 3 to learn how!

Now for the Numbers- Drum Roll, please........
In 2009 my Family spent a Grand Total of $3,704.59! That averages out to be about $309 a month, or $78 a week! That's not too bad considering that we have a Family of 5, and a Big Dog! This amount is mostly for groceries, Health/beauty care items, and coupons & printer ink to get the savings!
We saved $7,139.29 by using Coupons & Sales!!!! That averages out to be saving about $595 a month or $149 a week!
Wowza! Using coupons really does save a lot of money!
*Tip: I save each & every one of my receipts, and every week I record/keep track of my spending & savings. That is how I am able to have these numbers. If you are not tracking your spending/savings then I highly recommend doing so starting in 2010! It really shows how much money you are saving & it helps to make you realize that spending a little extra time "couponing" really does save you a lot of money!
I would love to hear about how much you have Spent or Saved in 2009! If you'd like to share please leave a comment below!

  2. I like hearing that because I save all my receipts and copy my rebates that I send in, too. This year I'm depositing all rebate checks into a savings account and my coupon savings will go toward the next vacation.
