Thrifty Tips: Foaming Hand soap!

My family goes through so much hand soap that it is crazy! We also love the foaming hand soap, (my favorite is the bath & body works foaming hand soap) but it can end up getting very expensive.

This is how we save money on hand soap....

The next time that you buy a bottle of foaming hand soap, keep the bottle after it's gone, so that you can reuse it! To make the foaming hand soap all that you need is soap & water.

I am able to purchase the small bottles of hand soap such as Dial or Soft Soap for as low as 30 cents each after sale & coupon, so I always stock up when those sales/coupons come around. I also stock up on dish soap when it goes on sale plus coupon to get that very inexpensive as well. Any kind of dish soap will work for this purpose, but my favorites are the Dawn hand renew, and the Dawn pure essentials. Even if you don't use coupons, you could just buy the big hand soap refill bottles for around $5 or so & that will still save you money in the long run on hand soap as well.Whichever way you choose is fine.

To make the foaming hand soap add about 1/4 of soap to the bottle, to 3/4 water. Put the pump back on the bottle, and gently shake to mix the water & soap. That's it your done!
Doing this will make the soap go further, therefore saving you money. It still cleans your hands very well, and it is a great frugal way to help to stretch your dollars!

  4. Are you kidding me? That is all there is to it. Ok, I am never paying full price for that foaming hand soap again. I mean, companies can actually use, less of their brand of soap and make money. Crazy!!! Thanks for posting and the tip. Will definitely do it!
