*Keeping a food journal, to keep track of what your eating has been proven to plays a more important role in successful weight loss than your age, how much you exercise, or even how much you need to lose. It enables you to identify the patterns that get you in trouble. For instance, are you waiting too long between meals and then overeating? Bad patterns can be changed, but you have to see them first! You could just use a simple notebook and pen, or use an online food diary on the web.
