Homemade Doggie Treats & Birthday Cake!

Here are a Few Great recipes for Homemade Dog Treats & a Homemade Doggie Birthday cake! They are so easy to make! Probably a lot easier than you think! And Trust me, if your dog is anything like mine, than he will be begging for more! Yes, all of
these recipes are Doggie Approved!

Pumpkin Drop Cookies

*1-15 oz. can of pure pumpkin (No spiced pumpkin pie filling!)
*3/4 cup of Cream Of Wheat
*1/2 cup dry powdered milk

Directions:
Preheat Oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix all ingredients together. Then using an inexpensive pastry bag (or see my tip below), drop the cookies onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake about 15-20 minutes. Treats will come out soft & chewy!

My son is a perfect helper! If you don't have a pastry bag, just put the dough into a ziplock or Hefty type bag. Snip off the corner & voila! These were so easy to make that my 5 year old son could even do it!

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Dog Treats

*1 cup flour
*3/4 cup oatmeal
*1/4 cup wheat germ
*1/4 cup peanut butter
*1/4 vegetable oil
*1/4 cup honey
*1 tsp baking powder
*1/2 cup water

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine all ingredients and mix on low until completely blended. It will be like a dough. Form into tablespoon sized balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten balls slightly with a fork. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Peanut Butter Delight Cake
*1 cup flour (white or whole wheat)
*1 tsp baking soda
*1/4 cup vegetable oil
*1/4 cup peanut butter
*1 cup shredded carrots
*1 tsp. vanilla
*1/3 cup honey
*1 egg
*low -fat or fat-free cottage cheese (optional, for icing)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix together flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. *Pour into a pan sprayed with nonstick spray. Bake for about 40 minutes or when a toothpick comes out clean. Frost the cake with cottage cheese if preferred and decorate with peanut butter drizzled over the top and carrots.
(*I used a 9X9 square pan, then I cut it and stacked it. I probably could have been OK with a loaf pan though. Use whatever kind of pan you prefer!)
