Things To Buy In July


According to Deal News, July is a great time to buy:

• Sandals, swimsuits, and all types of summer clothing - This is about it for summer clothes. Stores are clearing them out for school and fall lines.

• Tools – Now that Father’s Day is over, many retailers are starting to mark down the prices on tools.

• 46-inch HDTV’s – Deal News says some are as low as $500!

• BBQ Grills – As Target and Walmart (and other retailers) start switching their seasonal grill section into their back to school section, they will start to slash prices on their grills to get rid of them and make room! If you are looking to buy a new grill, I’d start keeping your eyes peeled to the prices, because Deal News says that you might be able to find them cheapest if you can wait until the end of July, or August.

• Plus, Remember That Back To School Supply Sales are staring now! Plus, start watching for awesome prices on laptops! As back to school sales start, you will see some awesome sales on laptops, and computers.

What You Shouldn’t Buy In July

 

• Sunglasses – They are in demand right now. Your best bet is to look for a new pair of shades after Labor Day to get the cheapest prices!

• Patio Furniture and Sets – You might also see these marked down at Target or Walmart as they make room for the back to school section (as stated above about grills). However, at some stores, the biggest markdowns on patio furniture comes in September. So, consider checking around, and watching prices before you decide to buy!

Using MyMemories Software to Customize your Cupcake Liners

1. Download template file and install it into your software
2. Using MyMemories Suite, choose Create Album From Designer Template and find your project
3. Now you can print and enjoy the provided template, or customize it with your own papers and embellishments.

TIP:
You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing.

Instead of adding the paper as a background paper, you can add it as an embellishment so that you can move the paper around. This is especially useful when using papers with stripes or circles, so you can decide which part of the paper you want to use.

Once it is added as an embellishment, you can now select the paper and move it into the position you want it.

Just SAVE and PRINT on card stock!

Cupcake Liner Tutorial

1. Purchase or Bake and Cool Cupcakes. If cupcakes are frosted, place in refrigerator and chill cupcakes before putting liners on. It is easier to put liners on if the frosting is cold.
 
2. Print your Cupcake liner templates on card stock and gather supplies. Each printed page will have enough supplies for 2 cupcakes. (Recommended supplies: small craft scissors, tape, foam squares, 1.25" circle punch, toothpicks and ribbon)

3. Using the scissors cut along outside line.
TIP: Use a 1.25" circle punch to cut out the toppers. If printed at full size, the circles should be exactly the same size.
4. Wrap liner around cupcake and tape at seam.
TIP: If using a smaller cupcake, just wrap around at the desired height. You can place a smaller cupcake at the bottom of the liner or make it tighter and wrap it around at the top.
5. Using foam squares or tape, attach the front and back circles together to form the topper. Insert toothpick between the circles.
6. Add ribbon onto the toothpick or at the bottom of the front circle, if desired.
7. Insert toothpick into cupcake. Enjoy the finished cupcakes and share. Don't forget to use your imagination. The possibilities are endless!

Using Quickpages makes digital scrapbooking easy! What is a Quick Page? A quick page is a pre-designed digital scrapbooking page with photo cut outs for inserting your own photos. Using MyMemories Software to Customize your Purse Cards

1. Download template file and install it into your software
2. Using MyMemories Suite, choose Create Album From Designer Template and find your project

Purse Card Tutorial

1. Print your Purse Card templates on cardstock and gather supplies. (Recommended supplies: small craft scissors, bone folder, 8-12" of ribbon, stapler, tape or velcro)


TIP: To print your information on the inside create another page with the template in place. Put all your text and embellishments in (leaving a little room on the edges) and then remove the template right before exporting or printing the inside page on the back of the first. This will keep from having to worry about if the templates line up exactly when cutting out your card.






2. Using the scissors cut along outside line.



3. Fold card at indentations.
TIP: Using a bone folder will help you get crisp edges on your project.



4. Repeat by folding down top flap.



5. Staple ribbon to both sides of your card on the inside to look like a strap or handle.



6. Enjoy the finished cards and share. Don't forget to use your imagination. The possibilites are endless!

I have been seeing idea's for a "Summer Bucket List" all over the web lately, so we decided to make one! The idea of a "Summer Bucket List" is basically to write down everything that your family wants to do for the summer break, before going back to school!

First, we had a family meeting and the kids and I wrote down some idea's of the things that we want to do this summer.

Then, I went Here and downloaded the Summer Bucket List for Free. You can just print it and then write your summer bucket list directly on it. But, I opened mine in my Mymemories scrapbooking software and then typed our list onto it. Then I printed it, and put it on the fridge in a page protector, or you could laminate it. We will use a dry erase marker and cross things off as we do them.

Working on a "Summer Bucket List" is a good push for me to be a fun mom and spend more purposeful time with my kids. I was recently reading an article that talked about love being a four letter word, T-I-M-E. It's always a good reminder to spend more time with my kids (not just being in the same room, while I do my own thing, but actually play with them) as daily life seems to get so busy. Please keep this in mind if my posts sometimes seem sporadic, because I am really trying to spend more time with my kids, and not always pasted to the computer screen to blog. My plan is to take lots of photo's of each thing that we do on our "Summer Bucket List". Then I will use the photo's to make a scrapbook of our summer! I Love Mymemories for making easy, and inexpensive scrapbook pages.
